The Congo Basin Frontiers Science Symposium on Security of Biodiversity, Climate, and Natural Resources will take place from November 15 to 18, 2023 and is organized jointly by the Bamenda University of Science and Technology (BUST), the University of Bamenda, the Cameroon Academy of Young Scientists (CAYS) and Cameroon’s Chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology. This event is funded by US ONR Global and DEVCOM ATL and TWAS Young Affiliate Network (TYAN).
The congo basin frontiers of science symposium on security of biodiversity, climate, and natural resources will bring together outstanding early and mid-career scientists from the United States, Europe, Canada, Africa and most especially countries from the Congo Basin both at home and in the diaspora to discuss exciting advances, challenges, and opportunities in their fields. The goal of this meeting is to bring approximately 70 experts (35 participants from Cameroon, up to 20 from other African countries and up to 15 from Europe, USA, Canada) together to discuss recent research findings and new research techniques.Full papers for all accepted abstracts will be submitted and published as a proceeding in a special issue in a journal.
Registration, accommodation, breakfast and lunch will be available for all except those living in Yaounde who will have only registration and lunch.
