- Convene a three-day Congo Basin symposium for 70 experts in November 2023.
- Offer plenary talks, oral and poster presentations and thematic discussion addressing biodiversity, climate and natural resource securities to enhance learning, collaboration and networking opportunities for all participants.
- Support Congo Basin scientists both home and in the diaspora engagement by creating a platform to build on their exchange experience, deliberate on key issues, and contribute meaningfully to development by enhancing, biodiversity, climate and natural resources security.
- Offer a platform for collaboration and networking between local and foreign scientists to identify common areas of research. This will also be an opportunity to meet face-to-face with potential philanthropists, funding agencies and industry.
- Produce symposium proceedings and engage in additional research.
